Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the “caveman diet”?
The caveman diet is a holistic way of eating based on the principle that humans “grew up” on certain kinds of foods (e.g., meat, vegetables, fruit & nuts) and that our bodies are therefore best able to digest and enjoy these kinds of foods, rather than ones that have been recently introduced into the human diet (like grains and dairy).
2. What are the ingredients of Caveman Cookies?
Original Caveman Cookies: honey, almond meal, walnuts, raisins, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon.
Tropical Caveman Cookies: almond meal, honey, unsulfured coconut, macadamia nuts, ginger.
Alpine Caveman Cookies: honey, hazelnut meal, almond meal, toasted ground carob.
Rainforest Caveman Cookies: honey, almond meal, brazil nut meal, chopped almonds, dried cherries (cherries, sunflower oil), nutmeg, cayenne pepper.
3. Are your cookies certified gluten-free?
Yes! Caveman Cookies are produced in a dedicated gluten-free facility and are certified gluten-free by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO).
4. Are your cookies kosher?
Yes. All of our products are certified kosher pareve by Star-K.
5. Do any of the ingredients in your cookies contain sulphur dioxide?
No! All of the ingredients in Caveman Cookies are all-natural, with no preservatives.
6. How long will my cookies last?
Honey is a natural preservative, so our products have a shelf life of one year. However, to keep your cookies chewy and delicious, we recommend that you store them at room-temperature and in a dry location.
7. How many calories are in your cookies?
There are just 65 calories in each Original Caveman Cookie, 70 calories in each Tropical Caveman Cookie, and 75 calories in each Alpine and Rainforest Caveman Cookie. See nutritional information, for more information.
8. Will these cookies help me lose weight?
Well, we’re not going to guarantee anything, but Caveman Cookies are an excellent way to satisfy your sweet tooth while also getting protein and fiber, which help you feel full. Best of all, protein and fiber are natural components of our cookies, and are not artificially added. Oh… and we also have it on good authority that cavemen and cavewomen had very attractive figures ;-)
9. There’s a lot of fat in your cookies – how can you claim that they’re actually healthy?
Great question! There are 3.5 grams of fat in each Original Caveman Cookie, 4.5 grams of fat in each Alpine Caveman Cookie, and 5 grams of fat in each Tropical and Rainforest Caveman Cookie. However, the majority of that fat is good fat — the polyunsaturated and monounsaturated kinds — which naturally exist in the nuts that we use to make Caveman Cookies!
10. What is the nutritional breakdown of your cookies?

11. Tell me everything I need to know about shipping!
Most orders ship out within one to two business days via UPS Ground. If your order is small or being shipped to a PO Box or outside the contiguous US, your order may be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Shipping is a flat rate of $5 within the contiguous US. If you live far away from us (specifically HI/AK/Canada), shipping may cost more depending on the size of your order.
12. That wasn't everything I wanted to know! What about express shipping or shipping to another country?
While our website is not currently set up to offer express shipping options, or shipping outside the US or Canada, we would be happy to provide you with any shipping option you request. The best, and quickest way to reach us is to contact us by email.
13. I'm shipping these cookies as a gift! Can I include a message to the recipient?
Absolutely! After you place your order, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Just reply to that message (or send us a separate email with your order number) and let us know what message you would like us to include with your gift.
14. Do you sell your cookies wholesale?
Yes! Please contact us for more information.
